The Serengeti is one of the most stunning wildlife sanctuaries on the planet.
Undoubtedly Africa’s most famous national park and a dream travel destination, the Serengeti National Park, best known as the home for the great migration, is huge, covering an area of more than 14,700 square kilometres.
This vast savannah hosts the world’s largest surviving concentration of plains game. The Serengeti, a World Heritage Site, is teeming with wildlife across its endless plains. Here you will experience exhilarating game sightings and unspoilt natural splendour.
In addition to the short grass plains there are beautiful rocky out-crops called kopjes (pronounced copies) and thousands of acres of bush and acacia woodland.
The great migration is one the Earth's greatest wildlife spectacles where each year some two million animals roam the plains in search of fresh grasses. Drive through vast herds of wildebeest and zebra that stretch across the horizon, whilst predators stalk them at every turn.
The Seronera area has permanent water and is excellent for spotting big cats and elephants. It’s been reported that there is a higher concentration of lions in Seronera in the dry season than in any other place in Africa.
